The media could not be loaded.

This worked for about a month and now it just simply will not take a charge. It doesn’t work.

I have been researching power stations for the last year or so. The rapid charging capability of the Ecoflow brand is what sold me on this unit. Initially I charged it by plugging it into a wall outlet and the advertised rapid charging held up. My second time charging it, I used an Ecoflow 160W solar panel. While two panels would provide the optimal solar charging experience, I was very pleased with how well one panel worked. In less than three hours the battery went from 57% full to 100% full.

I purchased this to primarily power my husband’s C-PAP when we camp. However, it also gives me peace of mind to have it on hand for any power outages. We decided to test the Delta Mini at home before using it in a camping situation. The first night my husband operated his C-PAP with the heated humidifier going. In that setting he could easily get two full nights out of one charge on the Delta Mini. The next night he turned the humidifier off and based on power consumption could easily get three nights of usage off of one charge. We are very satisfied with how well this will suit our needs.

We also expect to get some usage out of this tailgating or doing other outside activities where having a power outlet will come in handy. This will easily power a blender, electric cooking appliance, musical devices and any other entertainment necessities.

The unit isn’t excessively heavy and the handles on both sides make it fairly easy to carry. If you buy one of Ecoflow’s solar panels they are also easy to transport. The panel is well constructed and feels more substantial than some other foldable panels I have seen.

I highly recommend the Delta Mini for the average person’s power station needs.

I want to start my review out with saying you need to know your needs when buying any solar generator. That is a big part in getting one you are happy with. Take time to think of the size and weight, amount of battery and what you will be powering with it.

    Delta Mini Overview

    Great inverter output for size
    AC Charging Speed
Wide range of DC voltage input
    App controls

    Battery run time:
    822Wh advertised capacity
728Wh using a 100 Watt DC load 88.5% efficiency – Fans ran at low most of the time
693Wh using a 100 Watt AC load 84% efficiency – Fans ran every hour or so for 5-10 minutes
Both of these are in line with the results I have seen from other units

Charge from 0 to 100% using the slower charge speed of 200 watts took almost 6 hours and used 1100Wh

The Delta Mini is really good for its targeted market. Most smaller sized units do not have an AC inverter that is capable of the output this unit is. It can power loads much higher than a similar sized unit. To put this to the test, I plugged in my electric water kettle to boil some water and it output 1,450 watts, which is actually above its rated output! It did this for a couple minutes to get the water to boil. I also used a 5 cup coffee maker and it made that without issue. Again AC inverter punches way above its weight class.

I tried connecting it to my 400 watts of solar panels wired in 2 in series and 2 in parallel and it was able to pull the 300 watts input when I let it. My picture, I had less than idea sun at the time. I mainly charge from solar on these, but this unit can charge from an AC wall outlet at a range as low as 200 watts or high as 800 watts. I wouldn’t use the 800 option unless you were in a great rush as it will not help your battery’s longevity. In an emergency, it is a very good option to have, just not a daily use thing.

My main use of this will be taking it out camping to power lights and a coffee maker and of course if a power outage were to happen. It should work well in those roles as a full 12 cup coffee maker needs about 900 watts to brew, but takes about 10-11 minutes to brew. I am happy with the features of the Delta Mini and my only wish is the batteries were LiFePO4 vs NMC. This would increase the size and weight of this unit and kind of hurt the targeted audience for this unit so I understand the choice. If I used it daily, this would be a bigger concern. Again, all back to your needs for picking a solar generator. I am happy with this unit and for main uses, it will work well.
